Hypertension remains a major public health problem and a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Poor sleep quality is considered one of the factors contributing to uncontrolled blood pressure among hypertensive patients. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between sleep quality and blood pressure severity among hypertensive patients at the Sooko Community Health Center (UPTD Puskesmas Sooko). The study employed a quantitative correlational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach involving 52 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Sleep quality was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), while blood pressure was classified according to the severity of hypertension. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed a significant association between sleep quality and blood pressure levels (p=0.018; p<0.05). These findings indicate that poor sleep quality is associated with elevated blood pressure in hypertensive patients, which may be influenced by activation of the sympathetic nervous system and the absence of comobidities in most respondents.
